Camelid species are extremely common features in many zoos, farm parks and private collections around the UK. Join ABWAK at Mayfield Alpacas Animal Park for a one-day workshop with discussions, practical sessions, and presentations on specialist areas of camelid husbandry, including:

• Nutrition in South American camelids
• Common diseases in camelid species
• Off-license medication used in camelid species
• The use of training with Bactrian camels
• Camel Husbandry for medical procedures
• Post-partum care of camels
• Shearing demo and talk
• Enrichment for domestic camelids (use and demo)

Plus, optional social event Wednesday (21^st June) evening!

Priority booking will be given to camelid keepers - please contact the organiser before trying to book if you do not work with camelids but have good reason to want to attend.

Bookings will not be confirmed unless online registration is completed and full payment has been made.  Places are limited.

Cost for ABWAK members £20,

Members of BIAZA collections £30,

Non-members also welcome £40.

Refreshments and lunch are included in the price.
